Powerful unscented odor remover

I inherited some upholstered furniture that I liked very much. The problem was that the upholstery and foam reeked of perfume and scented candles. We first tried leaving it outside in the sunshine for 3 weeks, using our portable rug dr to clean it several times. We also tried baking soda. Nothing was working.
