Gel, spray or crystals?
Three ways to clear a room. Most homes end up using two of them together.
| Gel jar | Gel crystals | Gallon tub | Spray | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| How it works | Slow evaporation absorbs odor | Beaded gel, faster start | Deep gel for big rooms | Neutralizes on contact |
| Coverage | ~450 sq ft | One room or vehicle | Up to 750 sq ft | Where you aim it |
| Lasts | Up to 90 days | Up to 90 days | Up to 120 days | Per use |
| Best for | Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens | Desks, cars, boats | Basements, garages, workshops | Fabric, toilets, spot odors |
| Fragrance-free option | Yes | No | Yes | Yes |
Our honest rule of thumb
Use a gel for the smell that's always there, and a spray for the smell that just arrived. If the room is bigger than a two-car garage, skip straight to the gallon.
